Decor Trend: Everything Organic

“Organic.” It’s a term we hear a lot in home decor these days. Read on as we share some of our favorite ways to style a space the way nature intended.

Organic and natural elements are a current trend many people are incorporating into their home’s decor. It shows an appreciation for bringing the outside in and living in a more “natural” element. There are a number of ways to incorporate organic elements into your home’s decor, here are four of our favorite:

Rattan – Rattan is probably the hottest “organic” texture right now. You’ll see it in lighting, seating, mirrors, desks, tables, vases, accessory bowls, wall decor, and so much more.

This Uttermost Damina Tribal Wall Decor features a geometric hand-painted ceramic center, surrounded by a natural water hyacinth rattan wrap in soft black.

Add a subtle touch of rattan with this Uttermost Stabina Metal Table Lamp. This lamp is a rustic bronze metal with burnished edges and a black marble foot.

Show off your unique taste while you work on this Sundance Writing Desk. This desk boasts a rich, dynamic brown finish with light burnishing on the edges. The distressing on the desk includes sandblasting, drawknife, and wormholes.

Botanical Art – Botanical art combines both a love of art and organic elements.

Plant leaves are trendy right now and you can show others just how much you love leaves with this Uttermost Seedlings Frame Print. This art features woodtone frames with gray undertones and a warm, ivory linen fillet, all laid out under glass.

The Uttermost Casual Grey Study Framed Art Set combines botanical art and burlap, another organic trend, and features frames that have a heavily distressed black finish with a gray and taupe wash. The inner lips and liners have a medium wood tone base with heavily distressed, painted white finish with a gray and taupe glaze. The prints will make you feel like you framed them yourself!

Burlap – A love for burlap is transitioning from weddings where we normally see it to the home. Burlap is a growing trend from lighting, matting in frames, and furniture to table runners.

This Uttermost Deep Sleep Bear Print is a distressed pine frame with heavy white glaze hangup. The inner fillet is natural wood and a burlap mat.

Incorporate burlap through your lighting with the Uttermost Dafina 3 Light Burlap Drum Pendant. The antique burlap weave is paired with a white inner liner and a frosted glass diffuser.

Relax on burlap after a long day with the Uttermost Schafer Linen Armchair. This armchair is the essence of bench-made quality and features tastefully exposed in a solid mahogany hardwood. The neatly tailored chair has soft, neutral linen. The brass nails are individually hammered into the arms and the traditional upholsterer’s tacks can be seen on the edging.

Florals – Florals will never go out of style, they’ll only change in the way they’re used in home’s decor. While we particularly love the classic preserved boxwood look, adding any kind of floral to a space will give it a more organic look and feel.

You can order a pre-made silk floral arrangement you like or we can custom-make one for you based on your taste, size needed, season, and any other request you have.

These floral arrangements are perfect for side tables, centerpieces, and wreaths to give you home an organic feel.
