Four Fab Ways to Celebrate National Decorating Month

Did you know that April is National Decorating Month? Yup, it’s a thing. We’ll take any reason to celebrate, especially when it comes to decorating, so here are four fab ways you can ring in the special occasion.

  1. Add Some Art – Whether you need to “Zoom a Room” for all the virtual meetings and events we’re having these days, or you just want to bring new energy into a space, adding a new piece of art is the easiest way up the ante on your design of any room. From abstract graffiti to soft smoky waves on hand-painted canvases, Shadow Boxes, wood or metal art, geometric, or Nature-Inspired, the options are endless.
  2. Put a Mirror, Mirror on the Wall – Mirrors can brighten up a space by reflecting light, reflecting something you want to highlight, and give the illusion of a larger space — plus they’re great for giving yourself one last look before you leave the house.
  3. Add a Pop of Color – Bringing in a little color is another easy way to liven up a space. A room can feel like it got a complete makeover with something as simple as painting an accent wall, adding colorful throw pillows, vibrant artwork or small furniture – like a chest or end table – in a new hue.
  4. Rearrange Your Space – Adding new design to a room doesn’t have to cost single penny. You could bring some new life to your surroundings simply by eliminating the clutter of unneeded items (we love credenzas and ottomans with hidden storage!), rearranging furniture in a room or even give Feng Shui a try to bring new balance to your space.
