Design Tip One: A great way to bring sparkle and shine into a room is to introduce brilliant metallics as part of your decorative combination! Accents that have metallic finishes will pick up on light in the room creating brilliance and flare. Bring balance to your color combination with metal finishes without introducing another color. The key to making metallics work is by using consistency. Make sure your metals match. Don’t combine more than one metallic in a room with color unless they are in the same color family. Gold and brass will fall into the warm category and silver and gun smoke metals will be in the cool family. So be sure to take this into consideration when you are mixing metals with color!
